Wadköping
There´s something about wooden houses that makes you instantly feel at home. It might be down to the wood itself absorbing and retaining positive energy through the centuries. Here in the Heart of Sweden we have not just one but three towns with houses made of wood.

Askersund

At the top of Lake Vättern, Askersund glistens in the summer sunlight with the lake as the perfect backdrop and a destination in its own right. The town might have been made for leisurely walks, with plenty of delights to discover round every corner.

Nora

Nora could be called the capital of Western Bergslagen. It´s close to it all, with excellent connections and a wealth of culture, in other words the perfect recipe for quality of life. Something visitors too are sure to appreciate as they busily browse all its cosy little shops and high-class flea markets.

Wadköping

Wadköping is a living open-air museum whose buildings were moved here to preserve the atmosphere of the old Örebro. This small “town within a town" is also a delightful tourist destination with small shops offering that little bit extra. It can ideally be combined with the wide variety of shopping and entertainment opportunities Örebro has to offer.

Despite their different backgrounds, our wooden towns have quite a lot in common. Delightful, safe and friendly — all have retained that small-town atmosphere, where everything is on a human scale.
